Filming the Introduction to 'Breaking The Line' for the Be Sure Project

The past two days have been a whirlwind of creativity and collaboration for the Reel To Real CIC team as we embarked on filming the introduction to our latest harm reduction short film, "Breaking The Line." This project is a crucial part of our Be Sure initiative, which aims to shed light on important social issues through the power of storytelling.

Day 1: Filming in Manchester

On Sunday, June 30th, we kicked off our filming in the vibrant city of Manchester. Our first location was The Molly House pub, a venue known for its welcoming atmosphere and eclectic charm. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to The Molly House for providing the perfect backdrop for our opening scenes. The pub’s ambience added an authentic touch that will resonate deeply with our audience.

Next, we moved to an incredible office space in Manchester city centre. The setting perfectly captured some of the film’s most pivotal moments.

Day 2: Filming in Wirral

Today, we continued our journey by filming on location at The Royal Pub in Birkenhead, Wirral. This historic venue provided a unique and evocative setting for our scenes. We are especially thankful to the landlady Rose and her husband Russ for their warm welcome and flexibility, allowing us to capture the essence of our story in their pub.

Outstanding Cast and Crew

Our actors, Lisa, Helen, Danielle, Amy, Johnny, and Rob, delivered outstanding performances that brought depth and authenticity to the film. Their dedication and talent have been truly inspiring, and we are excited to see how their work will impact our viewers.

We also had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented creative crew at 'That's A Wrap Productions.' Their expertise and hard work were vital to the success of our filming days, ensuring that every shot was executed flawlessly.

Support from The Community Lottery Fund

The Be Sure project, including the production of "Breaking The Line," is generously supported by The Community Lottery Fund. Their backing has been crucial in bringing this important film to life, allowing us to create a powerful narrative that aims to raise awareness and foster empathy around the issue of harm reduction.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward with post-production, we eagerly anticipate sharing the trailer with you in the very near future. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses of our journey. We are confident that "Breaking The Line" will be a poignant and impactful film that raises awareness and fosters empathy around the issue of harm reduction.
